Altered Carbon discusses this as well. It’s pretty good but less cerebral than Westworld.

Apparently, I don’t have good radar. I never felt any bad vibes from him at all. I’ve listened to the Nerdist podcast for many years and always thought that he was kind of a positive guy, always enthusiastic about people finding their own way to express their creativity and “make a thing!”. He also seemed to be…
When I was in the Army, we did “8 count pushups” which are burpees with 2 pushups instead of 1. Doing them slower in cadence and doing 2 pushups make’s it easier to focus on form. Years later, I did burpees the Crossfit way (fast and sloppy) and my wrists were always sore.
They never include San Antonio in any of these surveys, despite it being the 7th largest city in the country, yet they always include Austin. That’s like putting Sacramento on the list but leaving off San Diego (number 8). We’re the Rodney Dangerfield of the top ten.
They seemed to have to keep catching you up on where the other character’s stories intersected as the season went on.
The Mr F music was perfect.
Every time GRRM is brought up, there’s a Wheel of Time mention. Every time there is a WoT mention, I have to tell this story:
You can get eventually get all three of them if you play the Commander missions. I didn’t my first play through and then went back and got them all on the second play through.
I wonder if the puppeteers are required to stay “in character” when kids are on the set. Like, does the Big Bird puppeteer have to keep his hand up the whole time? I’ve never thought about how painful that would be.
Truly a Leather Daddy!
Training, training, training. When shit happens, training and routine take over.
My ten year old would have the Horse Girls be best friends with the Wolf Girls next door.
China Mieville comes to mind. Everyone raves about his novels but I can’t get halfway through Perdido Street Station. It’s so boring.
I woke up at 6:00AM to get to work by 8:00AM. Today I had a 10:00AM meeting. Lunch is at noon and I go home at 5PM.
Are they good? I loved the Mistborn books (both trilogies), but after RJ and GRRM I’m not looking forward to another open-ended mega-series of 500+ page doorstops.
“particularly the hot, rich fraud with legs for days.”
That line was lit-er-ally the best line on TV:
I loved the Lando trilogy way more than the Han Solo books. I have both in two omnibus versions and the Lando books were great.
Vuffi Raa!! Me too!
Nunes should have been removed from the chairmanship (at least) or the Intelligence committee (at best) last March when he ran to the White House to discuss information that he had received about these FISA warrants instead of taking this information to his committee first. He even gave a freakin’ press conference…
