The 1500 Classic is not the new generation with a different front clip. It is the same old generation, continued to be sold as a cheaper variant.

Facts don’t care about your feelings.

So how’s the team morale been working in Chevy’s design department?

In photos the new Silverados look bad. In person they look like somebody cut a normal truck in half, horizontally, added a little extra truck in between and put it back together even though it didn’t really fit properly.

This. I have only owned GM trucks. I have owned four of them, and loved them all. I’m at 13 years and counting on my ‘06 Sierra, but if I were to buy a new truck now, it’d be an F-150. The new Silverado is HIDEOUS, and the GMC is very bleh. I like the way the Ram looks, but I am not prepared to trust FCA’s quality

This. You’d have to have your eyes closed to sign on a new Silverado.

People do buy vehicles based on looks.  The F-150 and Ram look very nice.  The Silverado looks horrible.

Counterpoint: We should be buying an Accord 2.0T 6MT Sport right now. It’s the best damn sedan on the market, IMO.

The market didn’t respond because 1) the engine options were wrong (the 4 cylinder never should have been offered, the 3.6 doesn’t have good NVH, and there is no V8 initially), 2) Cadillac has horrid reliability, and 3) Cadillac is still trying to price their vehicles with the Germans even though the brand reputation

How the hell did they justify the $97k price? You can get pretty much any luxury sedan at that price. 2019 A8 starts at $83k. 2020 7 series at $86k.

The 2020 Cadillac CT6 Will Go out With a Bargain Bin Interior

That 3.6L V6 is so “agricultural” in how it feels in a CT6, it should be in a Massey-Feruson tractor, not Cadillac’s flagship sedan.

$97,490! WHAT A BARGAIN or you could y’know, have literally any other car?

The listed at is decent, but a stock car is beautiful so it is a downgrade, I would hide my children from the thing you show above, yikes.

Typically shitty Ford quality issue.   The reason I buy Japanese is that they at least seem to give a shit.  Last Ford I bought new was nothing but trouble from pretty much day 1.  Never again.

Yes, yes you are.

My neighbor got a blue Silverado recently. My wife tells me, “Did you see that nice looking truck our neighbor just got?”

Unfortunately, you still have to be seen in the 2019 Chevy Silverado.

Meh, the best car Pontiac ever made in the modern era was actually a Toyota. Hard to feel bad for them.
