I think during the trailer it mentions something about a legend or something becoming an idea.

I glad you said this, because now I'm not alone. I liked Season 5 greatly. Only thing I would change is how they made Andromeda (Lexa Doig) look. {maybe it's not all their fault}

The Silence tried to kill the Doctor at that fixed point in time, it's not a universal event that was trying to kill the Doctor. I'm not sure I'm being fully clear on that, but that's how I see it.
