Manufacturers have decided that there is never enough overlap when talking CUVs. Chevy already heavily overlaps the blazer and equinox. This looks a lot better than the bolt EUV though so I imagine there will be some cuts to the EUV price before this launches.
It makes sense to me why they’d do it - if they’re going to have a Japanese auto manufacturer build the cars for them, they want to have mobility be a different business unit so those same manufacturers don’t feel like they’re competing with a supplier when they put Sony radios or displays in cars.
Sure, it has a normal steering wheel, but this is Sony. It will have a proprietary “charging stick” that only works with Sony products, you’ll receive updates via physical MiniDiscs, and the infotainment system will be Sony-designed to emulate the PS3.

Clearly you haven’t used iDrive or MBUX, properly at least. They are better with the scroll wheel, and entering an address is done really easily by writing it on the control wheel surface or though speech control.
