Sure, but spending on an irrational car can easily be on a different irrational car. Obviously there's diehards, but that's still the minority group, even within the larger minority of people who can buy an irrational car.

Have fun trying to find a decent job in half those places. Not to mention, buying a median priced house is a lot of those means living in a pretty shitty area and probably needing to sink another 40+K into the house to get it liveable.

The first 3 are pretty easily not something everyone’s into. (And 2 aren’t available yet for us to even know if they’re good) The Lincoln’s are expensive (and not cars) and the f150 isn’t a car or something that everyone would be interested in.

The manufacturer only suggests a price. Like many other retailers, the dealers are just trying to price inventory where it will get the best return.
