I agree. It was so funny that I'm hoping this episode gets nominated for an Emmy.

People are just trying to be respectful because a combination of Aziz's parents' unconvincing acting and the way they are portrayed, persuades these viewers that his parents are really sweet people. But yeah, I agree, their acting was awful…however I did find their inability to be "fake", endearing.
