Yes! I think you can draw a direct parallel between Kim’s relationship with her mother (what we’ve seen of it) and the way she approaches her relationship with Jimmy. I don’t mean she’s drawn to damaged people, more that (1) she’s never subscribed to the idea that someone’s damage is a reason not to love them, and (2)

This is not the first time Kim has been comfortable with taking the law into her own hands and twisting it to her will; the first hints of this line of thinking emerged toward the end of S4 - her arbitrary conviction that she is strongly positioned to judge just which ‘good causes’ are justifiably advanced by shady

yeah, this has been coming since she snapped at Howard in the second episode of last season. the specifics surprised me, of course, but this was always where that evolution was leading her towards

I am not being chosen for, Howard. I AM the chooser! A guy comes to court and gets screwed and you think that of me? I am the one who screws!

If you don’t see how Kim, who probably raised herself, could despise Howard, who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, you’re not watching the same show I am. Kim has the biggest chip on her shoulder.

Howard has a habit of being the recipient of wrath and abuse that really is tied to someone else. I.e. Jimmy’s various blow-ups directed at Howard that likely are fueled by the emotional baggage caused by Chuck. Maybe Kim’s blow up is her spitting a little venom at Howard that Jimmy probably deserved.

You’re not supposed to like it. Fear for her life has instead become fear for her soul.

I think going what they went through with Lalo and thinking they came out on the other side safely burned something off of her. She’s always been one to accept the reality of the situation, but now her caution and propriety seem to be gone. There’s a bit of mania there now, someone who is feeling invincible and

This show is so film noir. I should do a full rewatch in black and white.

Nacho had better make tracks to ABQ as fast as possible and get him and his old man to Manitoba post haste. Lalo definitely knows Nacho let the hit squad in and and he knows now that Nacho is working for Gus. Lalo won’t rest until he or both of them are dead.

People still speculating whether Kim dies or not is getting old. She clearly does not die in S6. It’s impossible. Not happening. There’s no part of Jimmy/Saul in BB that carries the weight of having a loved one die. He’d have mentioned it, it would have been an integral part of his character and the writers of this

I know Lalo Salamanca is on an epic fire path of rage and all, but I’d really like to see him show off his cooking skills one last time before this series is over. Dude makes a mean taco.

A Salamanca who plays the long game is dangerous man indeed.

Her question — “Wouldn’t I?” — is the hinge on which the show turns toward its final act.

Loved this episode, loved that the tiles in the hotel lobby looked like the Post-it notes Kim stuck all over the window way back in season 1(?), NEED an Emmy for Rhea I mean come on

I thought for the majority of the episode that Kim was trying to see if Jimmy would take the bait and do something “unforgivable” as the episode title indicated. Was blindsided when it was Jimmy who balked at the idea. And you’re right, it makes sense but was completely surprising at the same time. Kim has always

I’ve given many accolades to Rhea Seehorn—the secret weapon of this show—and sang Bob Odenkirk’s praises too. He has completely put comedic actor as a secondary characteristic, as he is a complete actor now in every way. They were both wonderful again in this episode, which relied so heavily on body language, longing

Goddammit. I keep jumping back and forth on Kims fate. This episode was no exception. I can’t imagine waiting 18 more months. God I have a few Spanish realities who are charming like Lalo. Its so easy to forget how violent he can be. Oh before I forget GIVE THAT FUCKING EMMY TO RHEA.  COME ON!  Well that’s another

Last week I said Kim was going to try to atone for Jimmy’s sins. This week I’m saying Kim is going Gus Fring: respectable persona with dark underbelly.

As a more casual fan of her work, I enjoyed it and found a lot I’ll be going back to for more focused listening, but do wish she’d gone further with more traditional melody so I had more to hook into emotionally. But glad her fans love it!
