Tesla and John Deere need to get their asses handed to them. Your tesla is so DRM locked out that you can’t even change a door handle without the factory software.

Can’t remember if I read it here or somewhere else, but Right to Repair is a huge issue with the military as well. More and more, when a piece of hardware breaks the troops can’t fix it for the same reasons stated in this article. And then, even if it’s something simple, they’re not allowed to fix it because of the…
“John Deere CTO Jahmy Hindman from The Verge, in which Hindman says that today John Deere employs more software engineers than mechanical engineers.”
If the goal is a Bronco with Sasquatch I think you can get a 2-door 4-cylinder auto now (manual next year) for under $40k. Jeep is offering nothing in that range.
This is a bad take.
Jason, there’s no need to go nuts over this. I know we’d all be screwed without the various types of fasteners in our cars, but this was hardly a riveting post. (Although, I will say that photo of the Spyker shows they really know how to nail an interior.) I realize you’re probably just trying to hit your quota so you…
They never thought to show the rear of the car???
I bought an e46 a few years ago, and someone had swapped the real burl wood interior trim for that shitty silver-painted plastic. Ugh. A quick trip to pick-n-pull got me the wood pieces for $30.
More like the start of never own a BMW out of warranty. I’ve owned BMWs since the early 80's and have spent multiple six figures on cars, parts and service. I’ve tolerated increasingly higher repair costs in the last 15 years or so in exchange for the “BMW Driving Experience”. The last straw though was when the bolts…

It pains me to give this the thumbs down :(
Where I live these are starting to gain a hipster tax and are also pretty rare.
GM has fans? News to me.
Pretty sure there is a 5.0 Ford kit on the market ready to be bolted in.
Automatic NP for me. Those 960's have long since returned to the earth here in western NY. Hailing from two states that are known for a lack of rust, even with the transmission issue this is a nice presentation of an otherwise unobtainable car around me.
GM has fans? News to me. I thought they alienated all their potential fans.
On Wednesday afternoon, the NHTSA officially told used Bolt owners to park their vehicles outside and away from buildings whenever possible, and also recommended that Bolts not be left charging overnight.
The repair shop fleeces him would certainly explaining the $5000 of restoration costs.
LOL. GM gonna GM.
I have seen precisely one (1) here in Manhattan. Suzuki was a real loss - they made a reasonably optioned reasonably priced car that was also reliable. If you look at their lineup now, they sell more than a few models that would likely sell well here. Just don’t turn into Mitsubishi.
