I've got one better. Toll booths every few hundred yards, with no easy pass lanes. It'll double as additional funding to keep the track alive for everyone's misery.
The addition of speedbumps every hundred yards ought to do it...
If you are not satisfied with the repair work, why go back to them? Go to an official Ford dealership, let them bring it back to factory condition and send the bill to the place that screwed it up.
When you catch a dealership on camera saying they're going to run your car at redline for 5 miles, figuring that they knowingly may break it... that's when you never take the car back to them. Not after additional chances, right then and there.
I don't understand why you don't tell them "new car or this is going on local tv". How is any dealer willing to risk the public seeing this considering the already negative way dealerships are often portrayed.
If it was carbon buildup... A $11 can of seafoam would have saved him so much trouble...
Nice work, and the electronics behind the swap makes my head hurt. still an xc90 v8 swap would be more my cup of tea.
It would have been 100x cooler if it were a wagon.
+1, who the fuck cares if the car's emissions equipment perfectly matches the factory spec? All that matters are the emissions themselves!
needs moar wagon.

I can fix damn near anything, so I buy used and fix whatever I need. Additional registration + insurance, complete loss of $10k+, taxes and dealer fees, etc. just aren't worth it to me.
Just got a 2011 A4 with CPO. It's currently getting a new engine. $85 for a new engine. Love that CPO
I think the trick is getting something that has been lightly used. Unless you can afford to take the hit, buying new is sometimes very stupid due to instant devaluation. There's a balance.
I wouldn't say that "isn't jalop-worthy" at all. There's a wonderful peace of mind with buying new over used, which isn't to say that buying new is better, but if you need peace of mind then buy new.
I know this sounds not-jalop enough or whatever, but this is why I buy new cars. They're all new and shiny and have warranties and I pay for depreciation rather than repairs. Just a personal choice really. Paying for a repair always made me think, "I'd rather just have a car payment instead of this".
I'm sure Land Wind will cry wolf then BMW finally releases the X7.
I would've loved to have been in the design studio.
"Make this, exactly."
"What should we name it?"
"Copy the name as much as we did the design."
"Should we call it a Land Rover?"
"Too close. Land Wind. But we need more copying."
"X5? X6?"
"No. X7. Do it quick before BMW releases theirs"
"Okay."
"Think about calling the…
