No they don't I have both as company trucks. They get about 45,000mi a year on them. Our 5.3L Chevys average 16mpg our Fords average 21mpg for the EB and 19mpg for the V8. These are mostly highway miles mind you with the same drivers and therefore its likely similar driving habits. Chevy figured out how to get really…
The statement probably was meant to say demand for 6 cylinder trucks was the highest it's ever been since 1967, not specifically to V6 engines.
Everyone that compares EB vs 5.0L mileage has it all wrong. Compare EB to 6.2L (similar power output), and then you have an argument, except you don't have an argument, because EB walks away with that one.
Except the turbo isn't a part of the exhaust manifold assembly and you won't have to replace them after 100k miles. Look at my reply above to wtfmike for more info on the durability testing the turbos went through. Also, it's been 3 years and people still seem to be buying the heck out of these trucks, if it was a…
The EB has more torque and is better for towing. The EB also has a performance edge too, it's one of the faster pickups that you can buy. Plus, the aftermarket is pretty good, the engine can put down 375-400ft-lbs to the ground with a tune and exhaust (that's about 75-100 more than stock).
The 3.5 EB does have the benefit of having more torque at lower rpm and having a flatter torque curve.
Good to know people are willing to drop the eights for boosted sixes. Now make a tremor version ford. The one we want, not one that costs as much as a off lease raptor.
What are the chances that some poor soul with a Cobalt thought,
racism, unacceptable, and I concur this is no accident... but, freedom of speech (which yes I get is different in Britain) is that people can say terrible things because their beliefs differ to your own.
It probably was racist in intent, having watched TG long enough to infer their informal style of language. They are casually offensive to everyone. It's their schtick.
Now, I'm 41 years old and English. I grew up in the 70's when tongue in cheek and some downright racist jokes were rife in our tv shows and thankfully it's now gone. But.. I've never heard the term 'slope' meaning Asian person and I've heard pretty much every slang & nickname going from around the world. I saw the…
As a side note, Top Gear offends everyone eventually.
Did no one see the British Leyland episode? They're not even that kind to Britain.
I laughed that there was a slope in the design of the bridge, but didn't catch on until today that it was derogatory. Do I care? No. Infact I had a giggle upon hearing the depth of the joke.
The actress has spoken. The show must go.
Bailout 2.0, anyone?
Just move the fuck over. You are not law enforcement. You may be the traffic jam. This happens all the time. Nimrod hangs out in the left hand lane. Sees one, granted, asshole, tailgating. Shows Asshole who the fuck the boss is by blocking faster traffic; justifies behavior by claiming speed limit or 'going fast…
That was just the California law since you implied that is where you're from.
California vehicle code, Section 21654 states "any vehicle proceeding upon a highway at a speed less than the normal speed of traffic moving in the same direction at such time shall be driven in the right-hand lane". (Source)
