Did you not see all the spins in practice and qualifying? This race could get messy. I’ll be surprised if they all make it through turn 1.
Is the issue luck or a lack of skill ? While there may not be relevant driver training for many of the unsanctioned situations that have resulted in injuries, maybe he is very, very lucky to have survived.
Unlucky avoiding accidents. Lucky surviving them. On balance, unlucky. But then he still gets paid, didn’t lose anything he owns. On balance, lucky. Gets ribbed by co-presenters. Unlucky. Gets internet backrub. Lucky.

I dunno, bruv...surviving a crash and being able to pull yourself out before the car does its best Ferrari impression is the definition of luck to me.

I’m going the opposite. He drives thousands of miles a year at high speeds in challenging conditions all while trying to keep to a script and talk to the camera. He must be as lucky as heck to only have a few serious accidents.
seems like the luckiest guy in the world actually. he does really dangerous things for work, and having had only three accidents and surviving them all seems like extraordinary luck
