Can’t really find anything definitive. I did see where in 2012 the Sebring 12 hour race paid $25K to win.
Maybe by 2018 we’ll see Team McLaren-Spoon.

I think part of the issue is that it’s become pretty evident that racing on dirt tracks prepares someone for NASCAR just as well, if not better, than racing on asphalt does. Couple that with (in my opinion) the far more entertaining racing on short dirt tracks, and yeah...it’s trouble for the parking lots short…
