Nice-enough price, even if it isn’t the nicest car.

It would be cool to have those door inserts... something that slots into the hinges, and then has a hidden clasp for the door latch pin on the back edge...

The down side is... the older people with money... are buying fewer and fewer coupes and sedans... and are buying the leather-lined, self-propelled shipping containers, along with everyone else.

Maybe so... but BEV attributes still go against what makes a good truck, and simultaneously a pickup truck form goes against what makes a more effective electric vehicle in maximizing efficiency and range because charging is a more particular issue than refueling.

COE - Cab over Engine...

An electric truck isn’t going to be utilitarian anyway, by it’s nature. It will be limited to consumer uses, in suburban areas.

Sell the house.

I was more coming at it from the angle of people who might still like coupes... would probably consider a folding hardtop that is still pretty much a coupe when the roof is up.

Only if C-class convertible is a folding hard top so that it is a coupe when the roof is up, and good looking. And also not too small to be GT comfortable,

I can probably count on my fingers the times I have clicked it back into sport mode and used the shift paddles. A Summit or SRT with the lower ride height and generally more street-oriented attitude maybe I would do that more... but I think I’d rather have a used Porsche than the markup for an SRT8 Grand Cherokee over

perhaps… but it is easy to get way into the weeds with comparing a whole fruit basket, rather than comparing apples to apples, and oranges to oranges.

Bronco is the Wrangler competitor. Explorer is more akin to the Grand Cherokee... although slightly larger, and slightly less versatile off-road.

Love our ‘14 Overland. Even with a Pentastar V6, it does just fine. It is not a performance vehicle (certainly no SRT8/TrackHawk, or sports car), and it is not a pickup truck workhorse...

I think Ford may have pulled it off, where they (Thunderbird) and others (many other examples) have failed with retro.

I have been asking for a Voltec-2 based neo-Fiero for years. tuned up Volt drivetrain in the back, Bolt axle at the front, 20KwH of batteries in the middle, and a modest fuel tank in there somewhere...

You’re still buying new BMWs?
