The fact that Mustang 2.3 HPP is the only thing interesting in that segment, and there is NOTHING hybrid, electric, fastback hatch coupe, or anything else... let alone a mid-engine sports car like a new MR2, Fiero, or 914.

an FT86 car is laughably low torque as much as Corvette’s torque is excessive, and a new one hardly justifies itself compared to a used version. Nissan 370Z doesn’t justify itself against a used Z.

ah-hahahahahahahahahahahah!

outrageous, ridiculous, hideousness.

I would argue that the Corvette isn’t affordable enough. It costs more than I make in a year, right around the national household average. I am not about to spend that kind of money on an impractical new car that is going to depreciate. I could barely justify it at 50-60% of the bargain basement loss-leader coupe, and

Came here to find that, or post it if I didn’t find it...

“Like Yakov Smirnov opening for the Spin Doctors at the Iowa State Fair... Under no circumstances am I taking you to that show.”

I challenge the premise that it is impossible, or that something truly well done would only sell 30K units/year.

Now playing

A man has an idea. The idea attracts others, like-minded. The idea expands. The idea becomes an institution. What is that idea? Safari 911s.

It is a TWEET. It isn’t a doctoral thesis, a legal argument in a court of law, or a sworn statement.

Not quite as tall, not nearly as much battery capacity, and the back end can’t hold an electric ATV... and not quite as sharp of a mountain peak in the middle of the roof, but I can see how it could be confused.

Are you people new to “compare and contrast”?

Nope.

Blast from the past:

It IS basically a luxury fastback prius Volt coupe.

Still would rather have an ELR with tuned up AWD electric torque-vectored parallel hybrid burst mode. (Bolt electric axle for the rear tires)

Right, You’ve identified it. Step 2 is washing it off.

That would be 1-series at the bottom, if BMW made sense... but that is a big ask.

Ok, so they split up the 3 series into 3 and 4, because coupe, except gran coupe and 5-door X4... so that 3-series could be sedan-only for some reason, despite a long history.

The traction control profile on that thing should be fun...
