Dude most people on the internet are just wasting space with useless comments about things they’re uninformed about, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that many people on the internet are creating awesome stuff.

If you’re a regular person who landed here by googling “Cars that will last 250k miles” please know that THIS LIST IS A JOKE. Other than 2 or 3 of these cars, do NOT buy these thinking they’re actually reliable. It’s inside humor here.

That’s really not relevant or germane to the discussion. It takes nothing away from the fact that, if not for piracy, most games would simply vanish into the ether once they reached the end of their immediate commercial viability.

Damnit! There goes my nitrogen tire full up...

Yes, preservation.

I mean in WV their govenor is a former coal exec, and they vote GOP who consistently attack unions (other than police unions).  Their ancestors literally paid in blood for a lot of worker rights and to dismantle those company towns.  Meanwhile Musk and other billionaires are planning company towns for workers who will

I think one thing that does not get enough attention with this shift is the effect on the secondary market. In addition to being a valuable system for keeping playable games in circulation, I’ve seen how it enables whole populations of lower-income individuals to enjoy gaming. Buy a game this week, play it, sell it

That’ll buff right out! The plow, that is.

You don’t own a game, full stop, digital or otherwise. You have a license, and that's it.

Little case study for you:
I own Silent Hill Origins for the PSP, digitally, on PSN.

I’m going to be honest I generally prefer digital to physical. not having to get up to switch discs is nice but the real bonus is that I can set my account to one xbox as my home xbox and login on another xbox which allows both myself and another person in the world somewhere to play the same copy of the game.

But how else will I pay $700 for a window tint warranty on a car that has the factory tint build into the glass?

Pirates are doing *MOST* of the heavy lifting when it comes to game preservation. See also: movies and music

More like the Fifth Circus, am I right?

I’ll bet my paycheck it was filed in Amarillo so that it is guaranteed to land on the desk of Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk. Yes the guy who says migrants must remain in Mexico, reinstated a naval sailor who refused to mask up on his submarine essentially taking the powers of commander in chief from the President, suspended

The best part about this: Dealers are clearly so focused on being able to maximize their revenue at the expense of customers that they really don’t care how this looks.

What would we ever do without the valiant dealerships acting in the best interest of consumers protecting us from the big evil Feds?

Except that buying lightly used means you get the same thing for thousands less. I drive a car that’s was $50,000 new. I paid $29,000 for it and it had less than 20,000 miles on it. That 21-grand I saved will more than cover all the tires/oil changes/etc I’ll put into the car over its life.

Now playing

Toyota Prius, there will be a battery change at some point though
