I’m still pissed off that this shooting, which the shooter admitted was an attack on women, did not get a ton of attention. People focused on the fact that it was in a movie theater more than the fact that the shooter was an admitted misogynist. I mean the host of a radio show even said that the shooter frequently

If wearing longer skirts or otherwise dressing “modestly” had any effect on rape, what she said would not be a problem — it would be an unfortunate reality. But it doesn’t.

The problem is that it's been proven that dressing modestly DOESN'T keep women and girls (or anyone else) safe from rapists, and that it sends boys, men, and abusers the wrong message when they constantly hear that women and girls need to avoid dressing a certain way in order for them not to rape.

I think you are being extremely generous when you call her “extremely talented.”

But that might be what she’s saying... that it’s okay in Hollywood to be a gorgeous 20-something ingenue, but once you age out of those roles and into the mom roles without actually having aged like the typical mother then casting directors don’t really know what to do with you. Demi Moore has made similar comments.

This person does not sound perverse to me at all. He sounds like he has been exploited in a terrible situation that he'd rather have nothing to do with and that he is emotionally affected by it as well.

Men need tampons too!

Whatever. I love him. Lots of girls and young women do experience shame and embarrassment and yes, stigma around periods. He’s clearly aware of this and wants to help. He’s young and (over)enthusiastic maybe, but I can’t find it in me to snark at someone who seems to be genuinely trying to do a good thing.

It could be, but that’s not how the article itself is framed. This post beginning and ends with Emma Watson.

There should be a countdown whenever people start loving a female celebrity and putting her on a pedestal to the inevitable day they call her out for something maybe even beyond her control and tear her down. I'm so sick of this same cycle again and again.

So I saw this show recently and

Someone commented on another post:

And, she broke up with him? Such a shame. I mean, he’s a passionate, go-getter who doesn’t take no for an answer.

Your comment only makes sense if approving a killer’s death is equivalent to wanting to kill. They’re not equivalent. Bye.

He also doesn’t mention being any part of the day-to-day labor of raising a child. I would have had a totally different reaction to this piece if he had said “I don’t make enough money to pay child support, but my flexible schedule means that I do all the after-school pick-ups, sick-day care-taking, etc...” Instead,

As usual, Bob “I can’t tell the difference between a sink and a changing table” Bricken was wrong again. If you rewatch the episode notice the “claw” marks on the inside wall of the crib. My thought is that the baby (toddler) was crying, attracting walkers, mom went crazy from the crying and the walkers trying to

Guess the only way to be a feminist is to be as fat and ugly as possible? Don’t do anything to change yourself. Don’t shave, don’t work out, don’t do anything that could be construed as positive attention from the patriarchy.

What kind of monster is anti-vacation?

because women only matter in the context that they belong to other men, we can’t be our own people. /s
