Huh. I read it completely differently. I read it as don’t let someone bully you into doing something you aren’t sure about. If you want to say no to the D, then for gosh sakes, say no.

If this made her feel powerful and helped with her healing, then that’s awesome but I’m troubled by the idea that a dominatrix is inherently powerful (and that male submissives are inherently safe).
What she does with that outfit is her business.
A thing to consider Kara; I’m not a frequent or regular commenter on here but I do READ the comments (I just don’t tend to have time at work to comment on things). Having never read one of your articles before I was initially like, “jeez this is a hilarious review and smart writing” but also thought the high chair…
How does it compare to the “$8 worth of Jarlsberg” grilled cheese Adrian Grenier made in The Devil Wears Prada?
I always wonder why people think it has to be either/or. We can celebrate awesome body-positive and sex-positive and feminist messages from women like Kim and Amber. We can! There is not a limited supply of praise for women and feminists and feminist moments; acknowledging these two women as having said and done some…
The entire world is attention seeking. My entire Facebook feed is selfies and me me me. Kim is no different then the rest of us. We all seek attention in one way or another. She is simple showing her body, something most women are ashamed of.
Actually, “to be consistent with the feminist values of this website,” Jezebel is being supportive of women who respond to slut-shaming by promoting body positivity and asserting their right to embrace their sexuality.
You don’t own your niece.
Pink has always been one of those obnoxious “I’m one of the guys!” kind of ladies. Hating on other women while telling everyone you’re ~above it comes with the territory of that. Ugh.
Nobody is making all of feminism all about Kim Kardashian or Amber Rose. But to have people that prominent pushing sex- and body-positivity is, I think, a fucking first for American culture and a net positive for feminism.
I’m more worried about your niece learning to spell from you than learning about self-love from Kim Kardashian.
Why? This is a serious question. Why would you hate for them to be blasse confident and secure enough about their own bodies to post pictures of themselves that they like?
Well then it's a good thing Kim is very intelligent, an extremely savvy businesswoman, by accounts of people in the industry is always noted to be personable and courteous and respectful to everyone she works with, in addition to being absolutely fucking beautiful with an amazing body. Not bummed about her one bit :)
Yeah, but we’re not talking about Kanye.
oh and im not surprised by P!nk. she’s always othered herself from “those pop stars” and claims she doesnt use sex appeal which is laughable
You could listen to virtually any speech she’s given or tune into a debate sometime, because she gets much more specific on the topic than Bernie, but congratulations, I decided to reward your laziness with a link to her page that has detailed policy proposals on the subject:
And two of them immediately show up to prove your point!
He was speaking specifically about the experiences of black people in America.
I look forward to BernieBros explanation of why the moms of Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis just don’t understand what is in their own best interest, and just unaware of how wrong their opinions are
