Well, nothing compares to the power of the presidency, of course, but you’re thinking of him in terms of being one of 100 senators. That would not be the case. Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell are hardly powerless, no matter how much they try to be.

Eh, perception is such a subjective thing, but I would argue that Carter has been at least as active—if not more so—in politics than Clinton has even if he isn’t known for it.

That’s not at all what was being celebrated today. But thanks for reminding us that we still have a work to do.

There hasn’t really been an ex-President in a position to do anything for a long time. Bush II was despised even by his own party (not even invited to fundraisers), Clinton was scandal ridden and needed to lay low, Bush I was old and never particularly popular and the right was mad about the tax thing, Reagan was

Carter has had his moments, but I think he’s been more prominent for his work with Habitat for Humanity than his politics.

Well, today IS the day we as a nation are celebrating ripping assholes ...

Bush II is doing what most ex-presidents generally do — keeping a low profile when it comes to politics. Bill Clinton is the exception to this rule, probably the first since Teddy Roosevelt who has been politically active after leaving office, but even he did a good job staying out of the spotlight for most of Bush’s

You can’t seriously believe that?

Yeah, they have uniforms and everything. It’s great.

You make that sound like a bad thing.

How do you fuck time?

“Kristaps Porzingis” sounds like a brand of Polish pork rinds.

At Florida State, they call that “foreplay.”

The foundation contributed $32,985 to non-profit groups in 2013 and had another $155,629 in expenses for “charitable purposes” – $13,947 in office administrative fees, $2,741 in meals, $54,075 in expenses for a football camp for underprivileged youth, $20,062 in promotions, $46,583 on a bowling fundraiser and another

Don’t feel the need to justify your position by trying to speak for others and exclaim your view is widely held. Just stop at your own opinions and you’ll be fine.

What sense of humor? Fart jokes aren’t funny, and 1980s references are never funny.

It’s amazing the number of people here in Colorado who still maintain that Tebow is a world class qb and should still be playing the league. I’m pretty sure those people are not the same ones who voted for legalizing marijuana.

I heard that when he learned of the Michigan’s existence, the ghost of Woody Hayes said he’d rather let a bunch of commie Russkie bastards fly a flag over the White House than be saved by that sub.

I was wondering the same thing. Seems like they would have to add players, otherwise you could end up with 3-on-1. At which point you might as well just get the gooniest goon you can find and start taking people out.

Not the worst I’ve ever seen. For some reason, the neon kind of works for me. It’s not terribly overdone, like if one of their jerseys was neon and the accents were red or black, and is a newer shade of their familiar red-and-yellow scheme. The neon kind of pops off the red, black and white. I can dig it.
