Totally forgot he was in the masterpiece Face/Off

As the hammer falls...finally

The Michael Cera bit may be my favorite part of the movie.

Accurate.

BRING BACK MILF ISLAND!

Cant speak on The Great. To be fair, I though Ad Astra was a long slog- but sir, Lost City of Z is anything but.

I am so here for this. Gray can be magnificent in the right circumstances and financing (Lost City of Z is amazing), or when just doing his own thing (The Yards is a particular underrated venture). Bobby D needs good source material and direction to achieve his old lofty heights. Issac is the new Pacino. Less focus on

No doubt. I'm def separating it from its historical context. But cot damn that Rosie Perez dance routine (and whole storyline really - "Take care of ya kid Mookie!") just grinds my gears

Rewatched it about a month ago myself. Absolutely love it.

The Leftovers and Fargo Season 3

HHaha. I remember reading an article a long time ago, when HBO was mulling turning into a miniseries, that gave their dream casting. I think they had Costner as Boyd. I dont think he could pull off the slimy quality of the character. Nor does Costner normally go for those roles. I could see Mitchum as Pete. Jack

THEE illustrious Donnie K. Thank you.

If anyone could nail that stiffness, its Issac

I was definitely thinking Pitt for Kemper but his age stopped me from a full-throated endorsement. I see what you're saying about Isaac - Boyd was very much so the epitome of WASP-iness.

Im right there with you. She is the exception

First off, whatever ideas I had in my mind are totally skewed towards yours now that I’ve heard yours. Cuz those were good fucking choices.

Lets be clear here: Bey gets what she wants.

Per your recommendation, I am going to check out The Big Nowhere.

Joey Pants aka “Mommas little whoo-ya”

You took the words out if my mouth: Kemper Boyd. What an amazing character. And the decline between Cold Six Thousand and Rover was absolutely steeper than the decline between AT and Cold Six Thousand. Like Ellroy just got tired of writing this story. I really wish they would make like an HBO series for those novels.
