It makes me nauseous that it takes murder for people to care. I vote, I volunteer and I do everything I can for families to be strong, but I still want to barf because it’s still not enough.

To be honest, I didn’t think you were calling me out. Just reminding me of what her name was. It flew over me head.
Issues that affect men are social issues; issues that affect women are “women’s” issues.
I remember what happened to that poor woman in Michigan where she was shot through the screen door. That was awful and what was even worse how people tried to justify it. When we know if she was white she wouldn’t have been shot by all.
I do agree that police violence against women is not being highlighted enough. I’m not sure I 100% agree with the idea that women are being erased from the movement fighting police violence. As a matter of fact most of the faces I see on TV and in the media who are making the biggest impact and making the most noise…
That’s nice but that has nothing to do with my comment.
My view is that suicide or not, they are still culpable for her death. She shouldn’t have been pulled over. She shouldn’t have been arrested. She shouldn’t have been left in a jail cell but since she was, they should have been checking on her (and everyone else in that jail) regularly.
