I bought “Cooking for Dummies” when I was in college. Turns out it was Cooking for Dummies With An Unlimited Budget (at least from my perspective at the time). I got a Betty Crocker cookbook next it’s never left my kitchen in 25 years. The sugar cookie recipe in there makes the literal best cutout cookies.

Decades ago when I was in college it was a big story that a McDonald’s hashbrown almost killed a guy. He said to himself, “Sure, it’s been sitting on my shelf since yesterday, should be good still” and got botulism poisoning and an ambulance ride.

This feels like the same thing as the Dwarven Forge conundrum - spend hundreds of dollars on assets, maybe get to use them. I got the game for free when I upgraded my CPU a few years ago. I made it through the first chapter and never looked back. I think the fact that I don’t have any money involved has kept me from really trying to enjoy it.

I have never seen it written about in the media, but my non-FSD Tesla running its adaptive cruise control can’t even handle a 2-lane highway without emergency braking whenever oncoming traffic makes it a little nervous. I would not trust a full robot drive from Tesla, and I don’t know how people do.

Can you give a source or two for that comment? I admit I haven’t read every thing that Gaiman has done but I’ve read a lot and haven’t noticed that.
