Can you give a source or two for that comment? I admit I haven’t read every thing that Gaiman has done but I’ve read a lot and haven’t noticed that.

Charter Way in Stockton, California is one of the scariest streets I’ve been on in any city, and I’ve been in a lot of rough neighborhoods. In about 2008 or so, Stockton decided that yup, Charter Way is the one that’ll get MLK’d. Then, they printed up “Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard” signs that take up an entire…
Same with Oregon. One time I was driving over-night to Seattle and of course we stopped for gas somewhere in the middle of nowhere Oregon, in the middle of the night. I just pull up to the pump and start doing my thing when this old dude comes running out. My girlfriend at the time thought I was going to get murdered.
I haven’t bought anything CR-branded, but I can’t hate on those who do. I’m currently sitting here wearing an Avengers sweatshirt I bought at Disneyland.
Basically, but Harmonquest was semi-scripted, and Critical Role used to be a fully live-played game of D&D (that is, no script just improv with a DM for guidance). Now, they pre-record, but it’s still live-taped. The animated TV show is a scripted retelling of story arcs from the game, and yes they are all…
Due to an extremely unfortunate/narratively rad situation, I’m currently DMing a heist with 10 PCs and 5 players. Last session I cut from one scene to another and promptly forgot about the first scene until I was in the shower the next day.
Just gotta watch out unless you want Siracha and noodles with a little cheese flavor. My instinct is to just go ‘eff yeah Siracha’ and put too much in.
I have barely the slightest idea what you’re talking about and the replies on this thread are like Latin, but I am totally here for it.
That sort of situation taught me just how little fully locked brakes at 70 mph do. I just kind of sat there next to the oncoming semi-trailer sideswipe for an eternity while my tires decided to get a grip.
Ew, so many mental images, ew
I have a big soft spot for the stand-alone Star Wars movies, but I understand part of my affection is the fact that I am a walking Star Wars encyclopedia and I love getting new data. Rogue One is apparently a mixed bag for folks, but it’s my second favorite Star Wars movie. The parts where you go, “huh? What were the…
Every time I think about what I consider to be the best television shows ever made, I can’t really think of any that stick out except for Cowboy Bebop. Like, sure there are probably a couple that would hit higher on the list depending on when you ask me, but Bebop has been Top 3 for twenty years for me.
I love getting actual breakfast at a restaurant on a weekend just as they’re opening at 9, maybe after hitting the farmer’s market before that place fills up too. There’s usually no one else around and everything feels kind of fresh and ready for the brunch rush.
For the record I’ve seen Harley trikes lane splitting. Where’s a will (and a sense of entitlement) there’s a way.
Made this recipe last weekend! Great taste, like pumpkin pie in a glass. It went well with both bourbon and rum; I mixed it N/A so everyone could try but it seems that it would be better when fully premixed with the booze.
Yeah very often it’s an old lady who just realized she was in a car going 59 mph on I-5.
It wasn’t that long ago when I used to immediately reply to “that’s gay” with “YOU’RE gay!”
Two thoughts:
I will admit that I found RP1 really fun and worth my time on audiobook, but man has it aged like milk.
That’s a stupid attitude. I also chose to be childless and I still give a shit about the long-term health of the planet. We still haven’t proven that life exists anywhere else in the universe so we should try to preserve this little speck.
