(BTW, the Forbes link is broken)

I’m struggling with the Huffpost article and the way the study is framed. Doesn’t it basically say that the wage gap does still exist, but that it’s smaller? Further, doesn’t it also say that a gap in wages is mostly due to patriarchal career stereotypes? Lastly, would you be happy to make 6% less, starting today?

That *is* fun, thanks! Jipijapa.

Spoken like a true Placer resident.

I walked away saying it was good-but-not-great as far as superhero movies went, but it’s obvious missed the point even as a white male feminist ally.

Wow Jeff Sessions reads Kotaku!

I live in Sacramento. The Bay Area expats have driven property prices out of control, to the point that people have been worried about affordability here for a few years now. Gentrification is the general rule in Northern California. It’s basically inescapable, in my opinion. Even Redding and Modesto have come around

Iowa is nice. Exciting? Generally not.

Long odds on the Toby bet, but the religion one is easy money.

It is still weird to have this guy show up on my Deadspin browsing when I’ve had a beer with him in my back yard before (an old roommate did a bunch of Occupy stuff with him).

He repeated it directly to the face of the host of Face the Nation, in the White House during an interview! I thought John Dickerson was great before that, but when he just kept rolling with the interview and didn’t bite it was sublime.

It must be so hard living on the East Coast. I mean, in Northern California, we hate Southern California. That’s a long way away. You hate... people from the same city? It boggles the mind.

No, I mean there was one guy with a DVD-ROM on his computer because his parents bought him a super-high-end machine, and we had literally 3 DVDs to watch. Sure, plenty of us had VCRs, but for some reason it was important to use the new tech.

This was one of three DVDs on my dorm floor in 1997/98. We memorized this, Scream, and Wedding Singer that year.

I kind of have to laugh. Haha, yes of course you stupid fucker. Yep, the rapist probably enjoys himself. Shut it all down, we’re done now!

I’m not sure where your tone comes from. Yes, I grew up there and lived in Iowa until I graduated from ISU.

The story also stinks of a guy who knows not to drive drunk on a main road so he took a back road where the cops wouldn’t catch him.

I’m amazed at this game. I beat it a week ago (accidentally - I triggered the final fight thinking I wasn’t even close to it), and I’m still playing. Now, I have all the shrines and I’m working on getting the armors all upgraded. It’s just fun; I can’t wait for DLC.

Occasionally there’s some sort of reference to bourgeois that makes me sit up and say, “Today is my day!” It’s a good feeling, congrats to you on having this day.

There’s so much ideology mixed in with that job. I can totally understand that they see the people they’re deporting as criminals and literal scofflaws, and laws should be enforced, etc. What I don’t understand is the fervent belief that this is making the country a better place in some way.
