I agree with the assessment that Trump is no evil genius, but I tend to think Brennan’s comments about “treasonous paths” (and the idiocy/ignorance that often leads to them) was more about Trump himself than about Kushner, even though the timing made everyone think it was about Kushner.

What makes it especially amazing is the perfectly measured delivery of “you’re a smart guy right?” You can see the trap being laid but he didn’t put so much edge on it that the guy scoffs and has a way to play it off.

I agree with Elon’s move and think it sends a better message. There are bound to be some Trump supporters/voters out there who might still be in the “giving him a chance” phase, who also know of or respect Elon who might now at least pause and think to themselves “shit if Elon gave up on him, maybe Trump isn’t the guy
