Wow you’re super reasonable and not unhinged at all.
Wow you’re super reasonable and not unhinged at all.
A good editor should have caught that, it makes the writer look like a total amateur, regardless of whether he is.
It’s a pilot program and frankly, that information is more relevant to the employees who may choose to participate.
In all fairness, the Walmart press release made it sound like an Uber type thing, where employees can choose to participate or not.
What the hell is offensive about that ad?
“All of Charlie’s treating doctors at Great Ormond Street are agreed that Charlie has reached the stage where artificial ventilation should be withdrawn, that he should be given palliative care only and that he should be allowed to die peacefully and with dignity,”
Whenever I start dozing off on the couch with my iPad, my thumb inevitably ends up touching things on the screen.
Charlie Gard was born on August 4, 2016, with brain damage and a rare form of a mitochondrial disease which causes muscles to progressively weaken, as well as increasing brain damage as the child ages.
Um, fuck no. Children are not property. In the face of dozens of medical experts telling them there is no hope of meaningful improvement, not only is it selfish to make the child suffer by continuing machine-assisted life, it’s perfectly legitimate criteria to judge these selfish asshole parents.

Well I don’t know actually. I think primal was a poor choice of words but I didn’t write the op.
Medical professionals seem to feel they’re getting awfully close to the line between “heroic measures” and “unethical science experiment”. The court absolutely has a right to step in.
You’re right, we should totally prioritize the emotional care taking of parents stricken with unimaginably tragic circumstances instead of, oh I don’t know—listening to dozens of medical experts and considering the baby’s quality of life.
I understand the impulse to project the tragic outcome of this story onto your own circumstances and react accordingly, but this story is literally built on quotes from medical experts saying they’ve basically already done “everything humanly possible to try to save them”.
For once it’s the sane folks telling the wing nut fundamentalists “THINK OF THE CHILDREN!”.
You’re a fucking moron.
Right, art often comes from pain. What exactly is your point? Because you’re doing a terrible job making it.
There’s more than one “subject” in the art as described.
This art seems like it’s doing exactly what art is supposed to do—moving people.
As a self identified woke person, I’m thankful for this article about a woman’s issue I didn’t know anything about.
