Not at all. Bruno Mars isn’t my favorite artist but I respect his talent and more than that I respect the way he embraces his role as an artist and entertainer without being coy or playing smug.

All of his records, including Channel Orange, sound like mixtapes not records. It seems that’s his chosen style but I don’t necessarily consider that a compliment to his music.
So it can only be a carefully curated and performed image if it changes when each album comes out? Being aloof is part of his intentional image, dope.
Maybe I’m just too cynical but I don’t honestly believe there’s another more reasonable explanation for his performed mystery.

Not particularly. Just a fact offered to counter the alternative facts constantly parroted by the “cool” media that Frank Ocean is somehow a more special snowflake than every other musician with a moderately successful record.
Instead of making the bizarre comparison to other (male) members of the Trump Administration, consider the fact that no administration in recent history has lied with the frequency and audaciousness of the Trump administration.
In fairness I think the media’s strategy is “give them as much rope as they can handle” at this point. There’s plenty of time to keep ratcheting up the pressure but letting Trump’s team display the chaos and incompetence of their own administration in their own words isn’t actually a bad strategy.
She’s like a chip off of three different pieces of shit—Spicer, Trump, and Huckabee himself.
Eh, that’s a pretty lukewarm defense of his understated smugness. His image is very carefully curated, even if he’s chosen a different medium/platform than paparazzi and talk shows.
She’s pretty feisty and smug which also makes for pretty good understated satire. And if she gets the top spot she’ll have to defend all of Trump’s shit and not just the shit that happens on Spicer’s “Naval Reserve” days.
When has failing to acknowledging the existence of something ever stopped them from claiming to be victims of it? See also: racism.
Exactly. Since when did (arguably overrated) talent make up for hard work in the entertainment industry?
And she appears to be shameless so she actually might be somewhat well-suited for Trumps Press Sec.
That’s probably true though I would point out she is far too young to have “decades of experience” in anything.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, yes.
Frank Ocean is a talented (if overrated) musician.
