The REAL reason that high end wines will never go to screw cap is that the proper aging of wine relies on the slow and controlled breathability of cork. With a screw-cap having a perfect seal, it prevents issues of cork taint, etc, but also prevents the wine from improving with age.

Yeah, I don't get the infatuation with filters, personally. And there's a whole slew of free or $0.99 apps out there that do more than just filters... so it's not like you can't have them if you want them.
