I was just thinking this. Like, even if we accept their flawed premise, this is still a very recent change over at Cadillac so the blame’s on them for reading the market wrong.

Would MB even be willing to share an engine that they’ve just brought to market themselves? Surely they’d want exclusivity for a little while.

It would be fine if they were good actors.

Beautiful.

Well, it’s not as if younger people are more likely to want / know how to operate a manual gearbox. And it’s not really about luxury, more having the bona fides to give the brand legitimacy in the minds of auto journalists, etc. (See: this article.)

E-Tron and Mission E are coming, they’re just on different platforms.

True! But we also have S90, etc to go on.

Can I just say: copper in the typeface is a much better signifier of EV-ness than any blue or that neon green mess Porsche uses.

Totally valid; the A6 is a handsome car. I was just annoyed by the assertion that because the LC is a polarizing design it is somehow overwrought.

I happen to find the LC an intriguing and compelling design, but can accept that it may not be to everyone’s taste. But I refuse to acknowledge the criticism that it is “overwrought.” If you actually count the lines on the thing, you will notice they are relatively few. I would much rather have a few deliberate
