Okay, so I was a participant in the 1989 National Spelling Bee. As a proud native of Indiana (the good blue part, next to Chicago), I had the honor or meeting . . . Dan Quayle, in his office. Even as a 13-year-old, I understood what a waste of space he was . . . I refused to shake his hand. I do not regret this.
