I think the people that live there are less than enthused about the drunk British tourists pissing against their front door or harassing sex workers than they care about fictional digital violence thats happening on peoples tv screen where it bothers absolutely no one.

Pretty sure plenty of people have to get by with 15k for much more than 4 months. Not that this is comfortable, but its also not impossible. Moreover, if you think 15k isn’t enough to live a comfortable life, nothing is stopping them from getting more work lined in those 4 months to increase their income.

So far I’m enjoying it, but thats mostly because I approach it as being able to walk in a Giger work of art and see it in motion. Thats all I ever wanted from this game and in that it delivers.

Does Dillinger Escape plan in reverse sound that much different than if you listen to it normally?

What stories though? All I hear about is how he screamed at Lucy Liu. And then these ones. Basically, it comes down to about one story every decade. I think if you look at anyones career that spanned 50 years you will find instances where someone was angry or made a stupid/inappropriate joke at coworkers. The only

Well not when it looks like how it looks now. But I can see people getting interested in it when it actually looks good and works well. If it can actually recreate the idea of being in the same room as everyone else, even though they are in another office in another city. As a follow up on teams, it might work.

It is just a matter of time before they can actually write a logically consistent story. Just a few years ago, pictures created by an AI looked like LSD fueled nightmares, now they look indistinguishable from the works of any average photoshop artist. And good enough to win art prizes. Right now, AI written stories

Not yet. This technology is still in its infancy. Give it another decade and it will write stories that are just as good as anything written by a human.

If you couldn’t take down enemies with stealth assassinations in Oddysee, thats on you for not doing the bare minimum of damage optimization.

Those are generally pretty bare bones in terms of lore and world building.

Yeah but WotC isn’t really doing anything with things like that, other than writing it down as the historical background of a race/faction. But how exactly it impacted them, how that shapes their culture, how that affected the larger world around it, etc is all left to GM’s and players to do something with. They are

They can’t really, because they are creating settings. Its up to the GM and the players to take these bits of lore and do something with it. If WotC were to do all that, you wouldn’t be playing DnD, you would be reading Game of Thrones.

Or you could read the text and see that ‘sapience through enslavement’ is a massive stretch. They were given an elixer that made them smart and they weren’t slaves, that was just the plan before the guy that made the plan got killed. Not to say that is a great back story, but seriously the people who argue that this

Its not a binary choice. We can actually do both, prevent tragedy as much as possible and learn how to deal with tragedy when something horrible does happen. And one isn’t more important than the other.

Yeah but its not a good sign if you are okay with previewers seeing actual game breaking bugs and reporting them in their previews. Sure, those might get solved by a day one patch, but if this close to launch you are still dealing with stuff that literally breaks the game and forces a restart, how many other, smaller

Yeah but that isn’t to difficult given how absolutely bonkers SR3 and SR4 were. I mean, a giant purple dildo as a weapon was the baseline for SR3.

You’d think that, but so far Wizards has only made terrible apps for Magic, their biggest and most profitable property. I see no reason why they wouldn’t fuck up something that is much more complex like a VTT.

Pigeons and have them shit all over the car of your enemies.

Hell, most people can’t get past level 1 doing a normal lasso run.
