It is really funny to me how people conflate “Meta”, the company name, with “metaverse”, a generic term used for all sorts of things, often in web3, so as web3 crashes and burns it drags meta through the mud even harder.

My family has owned a total of 6 Saturns - total brand loyalty while I was growing up. Them getting shut down left me totally unmoored.

NP easily. SOHC gives me some doubts, but... hell, man, I can only operate a manual well enough to drive cars around the lot at work, but this would be ideal for me to learn to drive on.

The only one I’ve sat in is ND, so I’m not sure how I’d fare in others, and again I point you to “long torso”.

I’m 6'2" with a proportionately long torso. The top of the Miata’s windshield is at my eye level.

In defense of the Monte Carlo, when I was growing up someone in town had a Dexter’s Lab one and it was the shit.

Glad I got myself a 30-series card. There’s nothing about the 40-series that seems worth it. Price, space, power. Nah. Hell, with the 3060 I shoved in as well as an upgraded CPU, my UPC was giving off a warning tone that it couldn’t supply enough power safely and I had to get that upgraded. Trying to cram a 40-series

Reading Jalopnik. I think I came here with Saturn Astra coverage, because my family always drove Saturns and I was getting to the point where I was researching what my first car might be. I was disappointed that the Ion was getting continued and wanted to see what was succeeding it.

Closest I could find for you is taco.

Seems like the problem isn’t someone ordering a meal. The problem is people ordering a shitload of meals at once. Which is the problem with anything collectible, especially recently.

A hundred percent same. MW(05) is the only one I really played, others looked interesting but I didn’t go for them for one reason or another.

I read a great article recently about how insurance for police departments is getting so expensive that the insurance companies are able to start dictating policies and even, in some cases, departments can’t get coverage and have been forced to disband.

“...I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.”

Gross. I was hoping it was leading up to, “Yeah, she’s not cheating, she’s just good. Here’s my receipts. I’ve proven cheaters and she ain’t it.”

I’d buy one tomorrow if I needed a new vehicle.

Not to mention you can’t compare an $18,000 car ten years ago to an $18,000 car now. The Rio was probably like $13,000 ten years ago, and in this segment (subcompact; Focus is a compact) disc brakes on the front and drums in the rear are still totally fine. Hell, my ‘07 Ion had drums in back and it was the mid-tier

This is not an objective statement. But I stand by it.

Exactly what everyone’s said, but seventeen thousand dollars is also a fucking scam. Hospitals charge absurd amounts because they can, not because that’s what the care actually costs.

It’s all in how you use the space (and, I think, how a manufacturer measures their cargo space). It’s a meme on r/volt how much stuff we’ve been able to pack in. That said, especially with the seats up, the cargo area is certainly narrow for the footprint of the car.

NAL, but defamation is probably the way to go. They’re doing highly public things with the company’s name in full view.
