Good. It’s frustrating to people that for some reason can’t preorder (or don’t want to) get locked out of exclusive items. So, leave the pre-ordering for physical copies, to make sure you have one as it was in ye olden days, and let pre-order and retailer exclusives die.

Faradayyyyyy come on.

Without all that extra income, the police department ends up furloughing some officers, while saying that the town will be worse off for it. The town will be just fine, except for a spat of property damage crimes that are eventually found to have been perpetrated by a furloughed officer (or at least directly

I saw my first Rivian yesterday, it was slick as hell.

I enjoyed the line but didn’t fully appreciate its layers until your comment quoting it and gif. Please accept this unironic thank-you :P

Any Saturn S-series. They’re the cars my family was driving growing up with my dad’s ‘01 becoming my first car, and they’re increasingly rare to see nowadays, so it’s always a treat to see one on the road.

Oh cool! That’s really well hidden; same spot as, say, a Kona, but pulling it off better.

Ugh, fine, I’ll bite, even though your assertion of “glorified golf cart” for an EV shows that you’re not interested in actual debate over them.

I ask because the article identifies a charge port on the front grille, and unless the seams are really well hidden, I think the author may have misidentified the radar plate. The charge port is probably on the rear right of the vehicle like with all of the E-GMP vehicles. (Is the G80 technically an E-GMP platform

Is that a charge port on the grille in front, or is that the radar for active cruise control?

I’m a photographer at a Hyundai/Genesis dealer. The G70's front seat is okay for me at 6'2" but I’m relatively skinny. When I get in the back seat, space is non-existent - an Accent has better back seat space. 100% agreed for G80 though.

Modern Rogue did a video on that - someone having an RFID reader and programmer on them, so when they went to a hotel that used RFID cards for example they’d just clone the card to their hand.

Don’t feel bad for backers asking for refunds. It’s Kickstarter. Don’t pledge money you can’t afford to lose, that’s how it goes.

Yeah, that’s a setup for “this white boy is just misguided and we shouldn’t deny him his future for having killed that person when he couldn’t keep control of his car”.

I have no idea why they’re covering for their techs who admitted to doing it. They would have been fine, and now they look sketchy.

Almost every car made since 2010 has had this.

Like, if she also presented her license and the stop was carried out lawfully, sure. Officers can absolutely let you off with a warning, but any time that’s happened to me, they’ve taken all the relevant documentation back to their car first and logged it all. That ain’t what happened here.

On the flip side, dealers that *aren’t* being predatory right now are seeing soaring loyalty. Kinda glad that if I have to work at a dealer, it’s one of those “never over MSRP” ones.

That’s what I was going to say - from everything I’ve heard, Carvana pays more than most places, to the point that people sell their cars to Carvana even if they’re buying their next car elsewhere.

None of those are new brands, though, and they’ve been able to rely on thier established ICE vehicles to subsidize their EV efforts. Tesla didn’t have that, but did have a favorable government incentive program; Rivian didn’t have that either, and now they’re getting the incentives pulled from them.
