Yesss, the best kind of correct.

I mean, you’re labeling it by intended use. You can refer to farm of sap maples, as opposed to lumber maples.

This is cool, though I’m more interested in seeing aftermarket batteries pop up for end-of-life battery swaps. But longer range is always nice. Hope they develop for other vehicles, too. (I own a Volt and while their batteries can last a damn long time, it’s still something I’m keeping an eye on for the future.)

What’s that squeak/shriek sound that can just go on incessantly, a timing belt giving out? Usually on a car where the owner just doesn’t care.

“PlAyErS hAvE nO mOtIvAtIoN tO cReAtE cOnTeNt”

That’s a clunky name, should be shortened at that point. Maybe Bee-Cee? I dunno, we’ll work down the line and figure something out.

I mean, it was the first external link in the article, but cool.

Well that is just astounding.

Nice. I salute you with a forkful of Chicken Riggies. (From between Utica and Syracuse, so I’ve got salt potatoes lined up with dinner tomorrow.)

Yeah, this smells of the same bovine fecal matter as that expensive Mario copy that keeps selling for higher and higher at auction.

Aw man. I remember Jalopnik’s original story (2021? Jeez the year really was longer than I realized). Tragic that he didn’t make it to the transplant, but I’m happy that he had optimism and a new (honestly really fucking weird) place to belong in the final months of his life. RIP, Gary. And, uh, Gobbless, I guess.

That, and upstate NY is a few decades behind the state of the art for road infrastructure. Though even the Thruway just relies on the paint. Probably figure why investing in something that’s only visibly half the year. There’s reflectors on posts on the sides of the road, that’s enough for everyone to figure out the

Also, man inflation creeps up on you, doesn’t it.

*slow exhale of thought* This isn’t NP or ND, but still gotta be looked at in those terms. $10k is hard to find at a dealer, and that is in pretty damn good shape, as far as sidewalk appeal. But it’s showing telltales of giving up its low-mileage ghost sooner rather than later. If you have nostalgia for it - you had a

Happy someone stepped up to help him out! Obviously shouldn’t have happened in the first place, which lends the whole thing the same “capitalism is designed to kill us” vibe as “high school robotics class builds a wheelchair because a wheelchair costs $10,000”, but you guys already covered that angle pretty well. So -

Yeah, 100%. Load it back up. Even if it hadn’t been dropped on the truck, seeing all the issues and, again, not immediately returning it (7-day return window) says to me, “Here’s someone willing to spend ten grand to get internet attention points.”

Yeah, that’s smart. A new generation of engines, coast on that for a while as R&D goes more fully into electric. It’s not a pledge to not sell ICE cars, just to stop developing. Considering how some old some engines designs are that are still in some new cars, Hyundai will be selling those for quite some time.
