That’s a bit more nauseating. For each place you use 2FA you need to cancel it, then set it up again and pair LastPass Authenticator with it instead of Google Authenticator. But it’s a one-time deal. Once you’ve done it once, you’re good to go through multiple phone changes.

Another option : Use LastPass Authenticator instead of google. If you have the main LastPass app on the same device, the 2FA codes are backed up securely to LastPass from the Authenticator app.

And tech demos on development hardware in controlled environments are not exactly what I would rely on either.
