A month late here, but a few thoughts about how shitty/stupid a person Barry is:

Well he's a bit busy right now with American Gods and Star Trek, but maybe once those start airing he can go back to the best show on television.

Yeah he got it through Shutterstock, and the artist was paid a normal amateur rate for the rights to it. But he still had to find it and choose it—it's not like he himself made the art on his other covers, right?

I will say that however my opinion on his music develops over the next hour, Future definitely has definitely been mostly killing it in the album cover game recently. EVOL, DS2, Beast Mode, HENDRXX, Future. All good.

This is silly. Everyone knows Tupac is the best rapper alive.

You probably can't get much douchier than this event, but if you want a grosser experience than FourLoko, let me introduce you to Jaguar: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi…

Except Ariana Grande actually has some good songs haha.

Shinoda at least continued to contribute on production in recognizable ways for a while. Honestly I wish he sang more, too. "No Roads Left" is a great B-side on Minutes to Midnight. If he and Chester could do pull off some harmonies or give-and-take sung verses, that'd be chill.

People will drag me for this but I'm actually a Linkin Park fan. I basically gave up on them after Living Things. They pivoted well on Minutes to Midnight, then pivoted again in a really interesting way on A Thousand Suns, but it felt like they just sold out and watered down their music on Living Things to be

Digimon was definitely a more mature show than Pokemon: it had serialized plots, had what are essentially A.I. main characters—and treated them as living beings (sometimes they even went through existential crises), had its characters go through the coming-of-age wringer (characters—friends of theirs—legit died), and

Your Name should have been nominated in Best Animated Feature.

I just watched this episode again tonight (because it's valentine's day and I wanted to wallow in the common anxiety of roads not taken). absolutely phenomenal piece of television and fantastic review, Vikram. damn.

Finale aside…HIMYM was actually a good show. A lot of credit goes to the fantastic
cast, but the show was generally funny, charming, and entertaining. Not diverse or particularly innovative, but you could do a lot worse (and CBS definitely has).

The Chris Matthews joke was actually kind of funny.

I enjoyed it when I saw it. I grew up on musicals and still love them, so I was definitely target audience, but it was a very well made movie and I was charmed. Emma Stone killed it; Ryan Gosling was kind of awful (boy can *not* sing)

That's totally fair, and I think ASP based the show in part on her own experiences in suburban CT, but Rory also went to Yale and there were…two? POC there: Danny Pudi at the Yale newspaper and Olivia her senior-year friend (although seeming second banana to Krysten Ritter). I still remember the cringe-worthy "jokes"

His own stuff is mad good, but I thought his voice was actually not well suited to this song, so if you liked him you should def check out his work.

I frequently find myself feeling this way. But I try to walk a thin line between wanting a show to suck so I don't feel compelled to watch it and wanting it to be successful enough that it isn't canceled, replaced with a new show, and I have to go through that whole cycle again…

Baltar was an *unwitting* pawn of the Cylons and had no way of knowing that they would find the fleet at New Caprica. Yes he totally played that settlement card purely out of a selfish desire to win the presidency, but the question of whether or not to settle was very legitimate! (And then he was put in an impossible

Her voice sounds thin; the outdoor shots look all CGI which is distracting and ugly af; the Beast looks very CGI and unconvincing; I'm thinking this is going to suck. Which, honestly, serves Disney right because the original animated version is the best animated film they've ever done and was in no way begging for a
