Actually you can argue about whether a steak has been cooked to perfection because it is *literally* a question of taste…perfection is never achievable in anything.

Still trying to convince my roommates to watch Pulse and/or Cure with me. The emphasis on atmospheric dread is a harder to sell for them than movies with a little more focus on jump scares (even though obviously a good jump scare works because of the effective tension created by the rest of the film ugh).

I've reached the point in life where I am so oversaturated with television that I start wishing for new series—even those featuring actors I like—to suck, so I don't have to watch them. So thank god this is a C- (and sorry Hugh).

"We need someone to direct a movie about a Chinese woman, based on a Chinese story, and with an all-Chinese cast…Quick, grab a white guy!" -_-

Anna Kendrick has kind of been slumming it recently…what was the last good movie she did? Into the Woods? Girl needs a better agent.

There is a shared assured casualness to the storytelling to both shows. Both feel very lived in and organic. But that's about it.

side note: I'm very interested in seeing how this new activist, vegan lifestyle will affect Trubel's responsibilities and ethical code as a grimm.

Needed more Aya Cash. Also "Vegan Cinderella" was very good. That's it.

I started with "Vegan Cinderella" and thought it was pretty good: funny and fun and, really, "easy". Good chemistry between the leads, low stakes, gentle humor.

Is there anyone here who's seen Supernatural season 11 (I stopped after 10 just in time to hear 11 was better) and can tell me if the GhostFacers return?

That subtle dig at Hillary Clinton tho.

I just came to say that I was in mourning these past few months, thinking that Kathryn Hahn had left the show. BUT ALL IS RIGHT IN THE WORLD.

It's more comedic than most dramas though.

Haha damn I'm reading it 5 years later and had the same question. Thanks for laying that groundwork way back when!

Any chance we can get some rankings/individual grades for episodes?
Mainly interested in the Aya Cash episode, but want to know whether I should watch others and if so, which ones.

5 years later…
This episode sure got more comments than usual haha.

Considering the subtext of the "Dayman" song is that Charlie Kelly was (probably) sexually molested, and how Corey Feldman actually *was* sexually molested, this is kind of fucked up. It feels exploitative. Honestly wish AV Club had: 1. not posted this, 2. certainly not posted it as a "Great Job, Internet!", and 3.

Griping 6 years later…

Chiming in six years later with stray observations:

Jokes aside, anyone else feeling very underwhelmed by this? I like Joe: he's a good actor who deserves nice, well-paying jobs. Butttt he's not especially…anything. In my mind he's just one of many, good-enough white, buff actors. They had an opportunity to bring some color to the role (literally or more figuratively)
