Honestly, that has very little to do with the people I’m talking about. These are people who literally believe that Catholics aren’t real Christians because of the pope, and the reverence for the saints and Mary. They consider it all idolatry.

For a lot of evangelicals, it never stopped. I work in healthcare and have had folks from a Christian clinic say that the Catholic hospital system isn’t Christian care, it’s Catholic care.

Not terribly surprising. There is still a huge bias against Catholics among hardcore evangelicals. I know many who still do not consider Catholics to be Christians.
