Do these even fit in most people’s garages?

Jalopnik REALLY should have some form of style book for how to talk about foreign car prices in a consistent way, especially when relating them to US cars in USD.

You can take your vehicle to any body shop you want, you're not locked into body shops. Is there any reason they tried to dissuade you? Did they use some lifetime warranty bullshit? Also, avoid Gerber Collision and Glass, they're everywhere.

Bob, if I’m the marketing manager @ Nissan charged with this launch, the title of this short article of yours gets framed and put in my wall. For the bean counters, marketing team, and even to the Z design/engineering teams (though I suspect to a lesser extent), it’s the punchline which epitomizes the exact desired

It may appear amazing in isolation, but this situation of vehicles stopped on freeways while distracted/tired drivers go by is happening constantly across the US. When eventually one driver veers off in the right spot to take out the stopped vehicle and it's all caught live on camera it makes it to the national news

Worked ski patrol in a past life. If you had a snowmobile on a slope, someone would ski into it.

He mentions the Bolt, and that it was recalled, though he elides that it was LG’s fault, of course. And does mention that GM wants to build their own batteries but doesn’t put together the why that may be the case.

I think his hatred for GM makes him blind to the car’s existence. For how much he loves his Fit, the Bolt is basically the Fit of the BEV word (assuming the updated battery packs are ironed out).

“Please just make one (1) affordable EV, GM. I’ll buy it, I promise.”

Stickers. These are stickers.

The 3800 is poorly regarded by ignorant people who put a high value on things like HP/L or number of camshafts, but it is very durable, reasonably fuel efficient, and well matched to the midsize and large sedans it generally came in.

But you’re buying a compact EV for the same price as a gas midsize SUV.

I like that “minimalistic” interior. Most high-end RVs have interior designs like a cross between a poor person’s idea of a Vegas high roller’s suite and an upscale whorehouse.

Reverse: Money. So far this year, I’ve spent $20k on home repairs and $5k on medical bills. I don’t have the money to do new car shopping. Or used car shopping.

Reverse: the cost of new EV’s. It seems like all the halfway decent ones cost $45K minimum.

i don’t care if they used the finest sustainable woods from the brazilian rainforest. it looks like a half-assed IKEA job.

This will all be relevant news to those in the market for this car, a demographic that I’ll confess I am struggling to imagine since you probably don’t want to use this car for practical purposes, as it would be a bummer if your kid spilled something in your Ferrari.”

You don’t like a dark red/Kraft singles colored interior?

They don’t actually expect to get that price. But, by listing it there they can tell prospective customers that want to rent it that it is a 4 Million dollar limo.

ad touts the color combo as being very rare
