I believe the argument is that the domestic content of the vehicles is low. While they directly employ factory workers in their plants, if the US content for parts is low, then you are not benefiting from more businesses in the US, including more jobs to produce parts and raw materials.

100% correct. I picked a bad example using dairy but I was just trying to explain some of the logic, or lack thereof. This is the general argument the administration is using. I think this is still mostly a tactic to intimidate and show dominance and it might work or it might fail. Based on Wall St, most businesses

You guys realize that he only is trying to impose tariffs to even the playing field of the other tariffs, like the one on dairy, right? Canada is sticking up for it’s right to impose tariffs on the US while at the same time complaining the US might do it to Canada - Canada is succeeding in the PR department.

The newer generation models do have better rear legroom. Even at 6'5", I was able to make it into the Malibu, Fusion, 6 and Sonata easily enough - front and rear. Not tons of space but works. The way car seats kick kids legs out and depending on height, feet going straight, it is tough but doable to fit them even

Less fun, more AWD.

I always loved the way the previous GS looked. Just never happy with the interior space. Like most of the last gen GM sedans, could fit comfortably up front but the rear seat was useless. (6'5") Then again, even in my wife’s Enclave, I don’t sit right because of the stupid headrest digging into my upper back and

Regular dino juice.

At the Buick dealer I go to outside of Boston for our ‘14 Enclave, they had 3 of the Tour X and maybe 3 sedans but they must have been hidden around the back. No GS. They really don’t have a huge stock, maybe 50 total Buicks vs 150 GMCs. Domestic sedans are very rare around here.

Real feedback from a person ~6'2" - 6'5" sitting in the front comfortably and then trying to sit directly behind that seat. Can you fit? That was the problem for me when I went looking for V60s in the past, always wished they would offer the V60 like the S60 Inscription that has 3" more legroom in the rear.

For a second after reading you post I thought it was April 1st.

I think the issue they are facing is the same as other car makers, environmental restrictions. Cities, states or even whole countries deciding they want EVs only or particular exhaust emissions or minimum mpgs, etc will force them to offer at least a model or option to go EV or at the very least hybrid/PHEV, to meet

Always funny to hear NYC’ers call that area “upstate”. Yes, technically it is but all a matter of perspective and location.

I agree. I think it is very useful on the highway. Since I am generally happy to be driving, I only use it when I am bored on my drive and figure I should try out a feature that came with the car, usually around once a month (around 2-3 miles out of 1,800 miles per month). You still have to pay attention and while it

I had a 2005 with Sport and Lux packages. Couldn’t spring for the V at the time. Also had to move on from it once my first child was born, car seat in the back and wife in the passenger seat did not work well and no way it would fit behind me at 6'5". I did drive an ‘05 or ‘06 V-series at Bondurant for the 3 day high

Wow. Way to get your Trump garbage quote of the day onto the internet and try to drag down an entire group of voters down at the same time. I am sure it made you feel proud, you did your part to resist for the day.

Nice! We had an ‘87 GMC Ralleye STX, 2-tone blue, full running boards. Head for 10 years only to be replaced with an Astro van which was also great. What a beast. Under powered when fully loaded up but you could fit/haul anything in that from construction materials (full 4x8 sheets easy)to 6 -8 people and bikes, all

My guess would be the low speed was a contributing factor, he wasn’t exactly racing it around the track and that can throw you off as well.

Absolutely. I use my wife’s 2014 Enclave and use a small 4x8 folding trailer (harbor freight thing) a few times a year (just used it this weekend) to go a few miles. We only put about 10k a year on it, mostly her commuting alone or 1 of the kids for a few miles and otherwise typically with just 4 of us on weekends or

Only problem is that people buy cars for the 5-10% extreme cases so a large percentage will still push to go up a size as long as they can afford it to cover all potential uses in a year even if the capability is needed a fraction of the time.

I missed the mark on that. I love southern Maine (York to Kennebunkport) and would even put up with a crazy commute to the NW suburbs of Boston if I knew my wife could stay at home. Unfortunately the run up in prices in the last few years have killed that thought. Still possible in some towns but not in a place where
