That’s a bullshit call. All I saw was someone pulling on the guy’s jersey and he’s like “Get the fuck off of me” and then realizes it’s a ref and stops. There was no ALTERCATION to speak of and no reason for a flag.

I’m not saying the USC player didn’t deserve to get a penalty, even before he touched the ref. I just think the ref did a really shitty job of de-escalating the situation.

This seems ridiculous to me. The ref is pulling at his jersey and knocking him off balance. That’s a natural reaction to someone doing that to you. I get that it’s an automatic ejection for putting your hands on a ref but the ref shouldn’t be allowed to do that either.
