there was another fight like that last night where an American destroyed an Azeri for 2 of 3 rounds and lost. pretty much all fight sports should never be left in the hands of the judges.

nice to see McLaren has adopted the traditional Ford/GM/Chryseler special edition model of adding stripes and mudflaps to an existing car and declaring it unique and special.

seriously, this is just adding a body kit, ricer wing and a chip tune to the 650. nothing to see here, move along.

dammit. new underwear time.

and when this shows up at Barrett Jackson in 2 years, it will sell for $30k because you just can't cure ugly.

remove 2 doors, 2 feet, 500 lbs and a whole lot of ugly and you might be right. but at the moment it is a horrible bloated mess

because corvettes of that era had shit build quality compared to the Nissan and $3k buys an awful lot of Turbo.

in all the years where Lance won the tour (and never got caught in the act doping in the process) every rider who finished higher than 7th was a caught and convicted doper.
the only guy who did well during those years who was not (then or later) caught doping was Cadel Evans and he was well off the pace.

I guess I wonder why isn’t this just “wear a pair of Google Glasses and an, Velcro a Bluetooth camera to the back of your helmet” and an write a fairly simple app that integrates google maps & traffic & GPS speed with the ability to flip to back of the helmet view on command...

or someone who just wants the exercise.
I am not arguing against the tech per se, just against allowing it in traditional bike racing. where is the glory and competition in riding up mont ventoux if the electric motor is doing all/a lot of the work?

the beauty of human powered competition is that it is human powered,

fun fact: they put different length exhausts on different cylinders on that car to broaden the powerband.

that is the exact reason to not allow this crap. if you could harvest the energy lost to heat in breaking to redeploy at any later time then there is no motivation to develop the skills necessary to ride the bike as efficiently as possible and manage your human output as efficiently as possible because if you get

clearly you have never sailed a boat. a poop-ton of human energy is used controlling the boat and hauling on lines to make best use of the natural energy provided by the wind, and human skill in manipulating that shared energy resource (shared and available equally to all) is what decides who wins and loses. electric

they already do, it is called "the wheels" which they go out of their way to make as light as possible because the benefit of stored energy does not exceed the cost of storing the energy

yeah, no. the point of it is that this is a human powered event. minimizing energy loss through low rolling resistance tires, good aero and light weight equipment does not change the fundamental fact that all energy input into the system comes directly from the human being on the seat with no external energy

have they added the Battle Royale and Bukkake events to the 2020 games?

if not, I am uninterested.

I smell Bacon

dammit, yeah, forgot about those. seen so many neons with grey primer roofs, trunks and hoods...

like I said, shitboxes.

not super cheap to fix when the head gasket blows between 60-80k miles (as they all do on these shitboxes), the gas tank filler neck rusts out after 7 years (as they all do on these shitboxes), the tranny lets go under 100k miles(as they all do on these shitboxes)

did I mention that dodge neons are shitboxes?

hopefully the people of Arlington will learn from the people of Boston’s recent Olympic bid victory (as in victory for the people over the billionaire developers).
make a big enough stink and you can stop it.

there is so much sheer lunacy in this that it has to be NP.
A: by far the prettiest of that gen GM Malaisemobiles.
B: 600 WHP and a row your own FWD box!
C: redonkulous body kit.
this thing has stupid fun written all over it.
