by contemporary he meant cars that were their contemporaries, i.e. a similar vintage Ferrari, not a current one. English is a language of context, and you clearly do not speak it.
+1 I had the '94 Ranger XLT supercab 4.0 4x4 5-speed with the off road performance package (31's and a 2" lift, limited slip rear, fender flairs). I should never have let that truck out of my hands.
welp, there goes another set of underwear.
serious want for either the black with checker stripes standard or the café...
this generation 190E is probably the only merc I would ever want to own, in particular one of the cosworth or -16 models.
there is nothing good about this. in 5 years there won't be a convertible Miata if this happens.
this same exact wreck happens every year at St Pete (and almost every other indy car street circuit.) there is nothing weird about this.
having recently been inflicted with a Camry on my latest business trip, I can tell you that driving one feels like failing at life. my whole life suddenly became boring and sad and grounded to the ground. the only car that made me feel worse about my life choices was when they gave me a Chevy Malibu that one time.
he is also, by all accounts I have seen a genuinely decent human being.
and therefore completely ineligible for political office.
list of base was under 14k, AC, auto, power everything, cruise control yadda yadda.
point is, Civics are not in any way inexpensive economy cars anymore. they are full on midsize cars, and cost a lot of money. $27K is not cheap by any standard.
the Fit is freaking enormous compared to what the Civic started out as. I owned an 81 Civic 1500 dx 3 door. that was a compact car.
I'm comparing the price of the 2010 _base_ civic to the 2017 _base_ civic. even with adjustment for inflation the 2017 is over 20% more expensive (2010: 12,500, adjusted for inflation 15,600 +20.9% = 18,600
disagree. $27k is a fsckton of money for a compact car. 18,600 is a >20% increase in base price over the 2010 _after_ adjusting for inflation. the civic is no longer a cheap realiable car.
I paid $12,500 for my 2010 civic new off the lot, is this $27,300 car more than 2x better than that car in every way? no. is it even 50% better? no.
is it dramatically safer? no.
yes, this is the full lux every possible option version vs my base model but even the base model civic starts at $18,600 which is more than…
Supercross is to Motocross as Reality TV is to Reality.
cracker barrel is beyond garbage.
that silver arch from A to C is the stupidest ugliest garbage in the history of ever.
while I agree that the Chiron is dramatically less hideous than the Veyron, it is still not a good looking car (except maybe from the rear 3/4 angle), but then you notice that the back end has a whole lot of dodge charger going on.
this car represents everything awful about this era of excess. it's primary value is as…
in Whitewater Kayaking we have the saying “we are all between swims” because sooner or later, no matter how good you are, you are going to get in a situation which you won’t be able to stay in your boat.
you take the statement about not having crashed (yet) as an insult when it is a statement of bond, brotherhood and…
there is a difference between natural deflection (wings bending under load) and deliberate facilitation of movement by installing hinges and springs carefully calibrated to deflect at 1lb over the scrutineering test load.
