This.

Present day.. present time! HAHAHA!

Definitely. Specially since there doesn't seem to have been a series that good, that strong in that kind of realistic setting, ever since.

To me the Oshii movies and SAC take a different tack to the material, the former being more mystico-philosophical and the latter more techno-philosophical in a more thriller-y form. It reminds me how you had on the one hand the fun, exciting Patlabor series and then the more serious, more meditative first two movies.

No, they just have not released anything else to further the form but expansions and further cashing on WoW.

I wasn't a fan of New Vegas myself (as compared to FO3), but that's a fantastic idea.

Sadly, I'm sure that same success has kept Blizzard from actually making the next step in MMO design. There's probably a DNF-like story behind it probably, but it seems their success has mostly paralized them innovation-wise.

Yeah. I think their business model is fair, but the gameplay ran out pretty quickly.

It's riding the hype now, we'll have to see what they do when the hype runs out. I'd try it, as it seems to have a few interesting things going on (the expansive crafting, for example), but $60 + sub? Yeah, right.

Well, the problem is that it wasn't very good as a game. All the dynamism the combat should have had was lost in chaining abilities using 1-9. Also, it was set in the Old Republic era which is a major bore, to be honest. There is hardly any conflict of interest other than dim reflections of the Empire/Rebellion era.

THE BLEEDING HEARTS AND ARTISTS LET HIM GET AWAY WITH MURDER, LET ME HAMMER HIM TODAY!

Yes, but heavy prosthetics seems to be something the show has so far avoided.

With spiky roofs!

He's polished his acting chops with "Pompeii".. <gigglesnort>

Exactly. Besides, I'm sure they are going to make her injuries less severe, as in Tyrion's case (no torn open face for example).

I really liked the Thenns in the book and I'm glad they got them in but I don't get the cannibalism addition really.

"Bobono" Is that some sort of clever wordplay with naming a simian of some kind?

Only got halfway through that mess myself..

He's actually played the part of Ringo quite well.. too well one might say.
