I think a 10"-14" laptop with a thin keyboard where the durable touch screen could rotate and fold over upsidedown would do the trick. I mean, a usb tablet takes care of almost anything you would need to draw, so those that need them get them, but I think the way to go needs to offer the least lost utility.
