Usually it involved going to a random area and talking to a random person who gave you a useless key item that you needed to proceed. I love Metroidvania-style exploration,

    I liked Pirate’s Curse quite a bit, but found it irritating that I had to wander aimlessly and backtrack often just to be able to proceed — usually with no clue as to where I should go next. Is this game better on that front? When you’re just in a level playing the game, it’s magnificent.
