I think people are fixated on the old GE MK1 reactors, which are the ones that melted down in Fukushima, and aren’t exactly the best design. There’s a lot of designs that are inherently a lot safer and I don’t know why we’re not using those. We could even go super safe and use Thorium reactors and avoid the issue of

So just because the government guidelines say it, that doesn’t necessarily mean that manufacturers will go along with it, right?

This is it exactly! Every day he goes in front of the cameras and blathers, and then the actual experts have to go on all the major networks and walk back all the ridiculous claims he makes.

Is it just me, or are european trailer hitches all super phallic? I noticed that first when I was in Hungary last summer.

I agree, I graduated out of desktop support awhile back, and one of the takeaways from that was to NEVER put anything I couldn’t live without on my company laptop. When you work for a big place, a lot of times the default solution to any problem is to reimage the laptop and erase everything.

I’ve been doing work from home for about 5 years now, and it makes you way more willing to put up with work political bullshit. Whenever I talk to a recruiter or hiring manager, and I mention that I work from home, they’re like “Oh we don’t do that at xyz company” and I’m like, ok, I’m out.

and how, exactly is this bullshit? Show your work and cite your sources.

Is she still a member of congress? Because it sure seems like she doesn’t spend much time doing her job.

The finance guy at the place I bought my last car at was VERY unhappy that I had my own, better rate, financing already lined up.

That’s definitely deserving of a slow clap.

If you hate this site so much, why do you come here at all?

It kind of reminds me of the idea that Herman Cain would be the right person to run against Obama.

Same here. My company has an official ‘no corruption’ policy, so the bribes are listed as ‘other expenses’.

Just wait til you see how much gold and red velvet there will be inside though!
