people suck. i’d love to see some actual consequences handed down. people should lose their main accounts if shit like this gets traced back to them IMO.

I like to think that one of the cool things about Kotaku is that you can come here for more information than you’ll get from a publisher’s press release. This is a good example of that. It’s not necessarily controversial or explosive info — it’s just context that you won’t find anywhere else.
I can totally relate to the employees feeling of bonding in fear. I was at Mad Catz for a few years and right before it went under and we were the same way. We are all still in communication cause we were forged in fire. Those were dark days, but we were each others support system.
Good.
At this point Kotaku has failed to recognize the actual problems with Epic so completely and frequently that it can’t possibly be an accident.
Uh, you don’t have to side with anybody. You can just have your individual thoughts on the matter that have different takes and layers of concern than mine. But if you’re the type of person who boils the situation down to “well, it’s either I side with the corporation who doesn’t give a fuck about me, or this random…
Hey look at that. He managed to do it without screwing over the fans that were already paying and supporting the game and then pulling the rug from under them(ooblets), he didn’t resort to calling the people supporting his game a bunch of petty labels(ooblets), and then didn’t tell his fans who can’t even pay for…
No. It doesn’t hurt the developers at all - they already got paid for the production.
Oh, so what you’re saying is that because this game isn’t High Art, in your view, it’s completely worthless. What worth does a game have if it’s not fun to play and people don’t enjoy it? Conversely, how can a game be worthless if it’s both fun and people enjoy it?
We have no reason to believe that any of the witnesses were fearful of being candid
But what about the VR walking shoes?
Well, it’s definitely not me, i hate Bluetooth because of pairing issues, with many phones, with many BT devices there’s always some hiccups while pairing. I think most of the time it pairs quite fast and painless but the times it doesn’t, makes me think how easy is to plug a headphone jack and move on with my life.
Seems like the hip thing nowadays is to talk about how awesome Majora’s Mask is and how overrated OoT is. I think it boils down to gameplay vs. story. As people get older, they care more about story so it’s not too surprising. Disappointing, but not surprising.
Bad news, would-be lunar colonists: that dusty, airless space rock you dream of escaping to is apparently swarming…
Shit, that’s positively negative news!
ok... i HAVE to clear this up.... 1, it’s a Kodak in name only. JK Imaging is licensing the Kodak name.
Makes you wonder if Mario Maker is secretly a Nintendo job application for a future Mario game....
I think there’s a huge difference between “here’s a thing you can use to make Mario art” and “OK, now you can build entire actual levels.” One feels more detached than the other, at least to me.
I think I am most excited about making a level that my 3 year old could easily play then making it progressively more difficult.
Yep, this. If I lose my data, I’ll have a great story to tell. A painful story, but hey, maybe it’ll help me save somebody else the anguish. That said, it’s pretty damn unlikely I’d lose data. Even on my desktop computer where I’ve got multiple internal hard drives, they’re not RAIDed or anything fancy like that. (I’m…
