Proving hate crimes are not easy. You have to prove that he shot these men BECAUSE of their ethnicity. It isn’t enough to just show the shooter is a racist. I agree with you often but come on. The guy got shot jumping into a fray to bring down an active shooter. Having never been in that situation, I can’t say for sure, but I really don’t think I would be all that articulate for a while.
