I wish they wouldn’t do stuff like this. Every time they name a school or street after a famous black leader, it’s always in a black neighborhood, often an unsafe black neighborhood. And then it becomes a punchline. We end up with jokes like the Chris Rock bit: “I don’t care where you are in America, if you’re on

“I’m sorely tempted to think you’re white, based partially on the fact that you completely overlooked the simple reality that while a white person on a train full of black people does not have the immediate upper hand...”

Why did the Root do a piece on this shooting? Usually they only do news involving black people or news that serves some agenda of theirs. So I’m guessing they covered this story because black people love to talk about white people shooting up public spaces. For example, every time some white person brings up crime

What about skinny racists?

“The least we can do is not to remind them of their past forever.”

“In fact, in 15 seasons of The Bachelorette, 14 of the 15 women...have been white.”

“You know what.”

“Bootsy most definitely comes right out and says blatantly racist things.”

I think everybody should forgive Smollett and move on, and the Chicago PD should never revisit the case, on one condition: he has to change his name to “Jessie.”

“I guess I just have a problem when the focus is on ‘there are 3 black kids around here, but we saw 30,’ rather than ‘there are 50 kids around here, but we saw 350.’”

“Using skin color to distinguish neighborhood kids from non-neighborhood kids is absolutely racist.”

No, you don’t. You just think you do.

I didn’t say anything racist. You’re probably getting me mixed up with another commenter. And if you’re not, then I challenge you to cite one thing I said that was racist and explain why it was racist. You can’t do it. Just because you don’t like something I said on the topic of racism, it doesn’t automatically make

“...you completely overlooked the simple reality that while a white person...”

“Shaw, along with five other black teenage boys, became media sensations after they were charged in 2006 with attempted murder after getting into a fight with a young white man”

“Racism and discrimination aren’t the same thing.”

I’d like to write less, but there’s just so much that needs to be corrected on this website.

Great response. A real game-changer. I see everything differently now.

If you think I’m a hotep, then you don’t know what that word means. Nothing I’ve said or done fits the description. You’re basing that on absolutely nothing. Labels and name-calling is all you’ve got because you’re not smart enough to write a substantive response.

“Biohazard”? Was it a bag of used syringes? A jar of anthrax? A pile of blood-soaked rags from an HIV-positive hemophiliac who recently fucked an Ebola-infected monkey?
