Anecdotally, we had ‘74 Delta 88 we replaced with an ‘81 Subaru GL sedan and then with an ‘88 Volvo 245 that I still own.

A friend’s dad was a minister and his mom was Wiccan. They’re still married as far as I know. (Last I checked at the 25 yr HS reunion 3 yrs ago).

Something small and Japanese. Honda and Toyota make safe, reliable, cheap to own cars. Keep up with basic maintenance and they should drive for hundreds of thousands of miles.

I have stopped going to car shows/meets here in NC because of this. The scene is toxic. And, sadly, it affects all age groups.
